It dawns on me today that losing weight after weight loss surgery is actually no less effort than losing weight without surgery. The results are better, but I'm still tracking every morsel I eat, exercising daily and drinking water all day, every day. I gave up nicotine, caffeine, anything carbonated, most sugar, alcohol and am still recovering from major surgery. I laugh at anyone that calls this "the easy way out" and caution anyone going this route if they don't think it's going to be hard work. I feel better than I ever have, am no longer considered diabetic and am 100% sure this was the right choice. It just wasn't a magic bullet - it was a reset.
